Weekly Meal Plan 3/11-17/19

Last week found us drinking an okra smoothie per day; this week we are doing all no special ingredient (NSI) recipes! Don’t worry if you look at a recipe and see special ingredients listed – any recipe with special ingredients included in this meal plan has the option for trading out those ingredients for something else.

I was motivated to make this an NSI meal plan to save grocery money – even eating leftovers and sandwiches as often as we do with these meal plans, it adds up quickly to eat in a healthy way.

This meal plan includes recipes from both of the official Trim Healthy Mama cookbooks – the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook and Trim Healthy Table – as well as Convenient Food.

Any recipes from Convenient Food will have a second, alternate recipe given as well.

Monday:

Tuesday:

  • B – (S) Hash ‘n’ Eggs (THT pg 335)

Note: I had my hash ‘n’ eggs with a piece of sprouted toast to make it an S helper.

  • L – (E or XO) Sandwiches on sprouted or soured bread with desired fillings
  • D – (S) Creamed Spinach and Bacon Smothered Chicken (THT pg. 219) with a side salad and Killer Green Beans (THT pg. 261)

Wednesday:

  • B – (E) Parfait with leftover granola, Greek yogurt and berries
  • L – Leftovers
  • D – (S) Pizza Quesadillas with (FP) Speedy Chocolate Milk (THT pg 457)

Thursday:

  • B – (S) Mufflets (THM Cookbook pg. 237)
  • L – (E) Leftover granola or (E or XO) Sandwiches on sprouted or soured bread with desired fillings
  • D – (S) 1-2 lb fully cooked smoked sausage, heated according to package directions with Special Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Sour Cream and Chive Mashed Caulitoes (CF pg. 196)
  • Alternate Recipe: Sour Cream and Chives Mashed Cauliflower

Friday:

  • B – (S) Leftover mufflets
  • L – (E) Good ol’ PB&J (THT pg 301)
  • D – (S) Just Like Campbell’s Tomato Soup (THM Cookbook pg. 112) and grilled cheese on swiss bread (THM Cookbook pg. 196) (or Joseph’s Lavish for no special ingredients)

Saturday:

  • B – (S) Big Bowl Egg Scram (THT pg. 331)
  • L – (E or XO) Sandwiches on sprouted or soured bread with desired fillings
  • D – (S) Cinnamon Pecan Baked Pancake (THT pg. 338) with (FP) Speedy Chocolate or Strawberry Milk (THT pg 457)
